    The Junior Application Developer develops code for intermediate to complex modules, participates in design reviews, conducts code reviews, creates test plans and participates in testing reviews and resolves moderate defects. In addition, this role is responsible for designing, documenting, reviewing, and maintaining components of software solutions for intermediate complex projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Evaluates detailed business, functional, and high-level technical requirements
    • Designs detailed technical components with high-level architecture
    • Participates and provides feedback in design reviews
    • Develops or confirms detailed project or system change estimates or project plans; calibrates estimating factors for continuous improvements
    • Develops high quality code for intermediate modules, following documentation and development standards to deliver changes on schedule
    • Creates enhanced technical documentation and implement changes
    • Conducts timely structured code reviews to ensure standards and systems interoperability
    • Creates accurate test plans, conditions, and data; participate in testing reviews, conducts testing, tracks and resolves moderate defects
    • Executes change management activities supporting production deployment to Developers, Quality Control Analysts, and Environment Management personnel
    • Define and develop technical specifications and processes for design, coding and testing
    • Build specification documents including diagrams, project scopes, impact analyses and recommendations for implementation
    • Participate in the coding and deployment of new versions of software, problem fixes and enhancements
    • Leverage source control, automated build and deployment automation tools to deliver changes with quality and consistency
    • Capture end-user requirement information
    • Present detailed overview of solution to business sponsors
    • Strong initiative, commitment and a “whatever it takes” attitude

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of web and console application development experience designing and building applications with Microsoft development tools
    • Excellent communication skills, team player, willing to dig in, ask questions to gain clarity on projects.
    • B.S. in computer science, engineering, management information services or related field of study
    • Previous experience with intranet and extranet web application development sufficient to support thousands of users running multiple web browser platforms
    • Strong understanding of relational databases
    • 5+ years of experience / technical expertise in:
      • ASP.Net MVC + Web Forms
      • C#
      • T-SQL / SQL Server 2012+
      • Visual Studio IDE 2013+
      • HTTP + HTML
      • JavaScript
      • CSS / LESS / SASS
      • Visual Studio Team Services / Team Foundation Server
      • Internet Information Services (IIS)

    Preferred:

    • Kendo UI
    • PowerShell
    • Working experience in an Agile Scrum team
    • Healthcare staffing experience
    • Bullhorn experience
